Cost of Living Support
Food
Through our partnership with local charity Healthy Living Platform, we’re delighted to host a weekly pantry at the community centre from 11-2pm every Tuesday.
The volunteer run pantry makes use of surplus and donated items, offering a weekly choice of healthy food for a weekly pay-as-you-go price and is open to all local residents.
Pantry visitors pay £5 a week and choose 10 fresh fruit and vegetables and a maximum of 10 donated items from supermarkets and other food suppliers
MyCommunity Gateway can help if you need food, help with claiming benefits, etc. They can issue food bank vouchers. AgeUK Lambeth runs this service for anyone aged over 18 years old.
Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Some families are entitled to the national Healthy Start vouchers to spend on food.
The vouchers range in value. The value you receive will depend on criteria such as the age of your child, if you are pregnant and what support you are receiving.
Check the NHS Healthy Start page to see if you're eligible and how to apply: https://www.healthystart.nhs.uk/how-to-apply/
