Community Centre Roof Update

We know from our chats with many of you that the fence surrounding this part of the community centre roof was very unpopular indeed and we’re pleased to say that, following an updated risk assessment, it is no more.

The fence was put up to stop dangerous behaviour on this section of the roof, including sliding and skating down it. If this seems like unnecessary health and safety grumbling, there is a significant drop off only metres up the slope and anyone falling from that height, without being able to see where they’re landing, is in danger of a serious injury.

The roof isn’t designed to be played on (unlike the playground and blue games area only metres away) and poses a real risk to anyone who does. Please keep off and remind anyone in your household to do the same. Thanks in advance for your support.
