Improving Biodiversity

Back in February we sent a survey to residents to better understand how you feel about Eythorne Park. 57 people filled it out, an amazing response and we’re really grateful to everyone who took the time.

One topic that came up time and time again was biodiversity and what we can do to make the park more welcoming for local wildlife.

We’ve taken this feedback and with permission from Lambeth Council, identified a number of areas in the park where this September we will sow wildflower seeds and allow the grass to grow longer, supporting bees, butterflies and other local wildlife. We will also be including bug hotels and bird feeders created during our community Fun Day in September and some signage to make sure everyone is up to date with plans.

The areas are outlined above, image courtesy of Google maps. We’re looking forward to seeing the project develop!
