As the colder weather sets in, it can be challenging to avoid getting sick. However, there is lots you can do to stay healthy and improve your wellbeing:
• Get vaccinated: It’s the best way to protect yourself against COVID-19 and flu.
• Stay warm: One of the most important things you can do is keep warm at home.
• Be prepared: Stock up your medicine cabinet early – ask your pharmacist or GP about your repeat prescriptions.
• Get advice: Your pharmacist can help with winter illnesses such as a colds, sore throats, coughs or earache. You can also call NHS 111 or visit www.nhs.uk for advice.
• Stay connected: Check on neighbours and relatives to make sure they are safe, and prepared.
