Estate Services Shine at Awards
The recent Mini Pinnacle Gala Awards celebrated the incredible work of the Myatts Field North Estate Services Teams, and two of our staff were recognised in major categories: Employee of the Year and the Rising Star Award. We were very proud to see Maria and Jason nominated for Employee of the Year and Rising Star.
Maria Caldeira (Runner up – Employee of the Year)
Maria’s dedication shines through in everything she does. Her work is consistently of a high standard, and she is always ready to step in when the team leader or other colleagues are away. Reliable, punctual, and deeply committed, she takes pride in every task, no matter how big or small. Some moments that reflect her outstanding contribution include:
Covering for Mario during his annual leave, ensuring all blocks were maintained to standard and communicating directly with the client when needed.
Managing challenges around refuse during missed collections, even starting her shift early to make sure both her daily duties and additional cleaning around the bin pods were completed.
Supporting a vulnerable resident at 4 Bramah Road by helping with waste removal and raising concerns with the housing team to ensure the resident received the right support.
Responding calmly and responsibly to ongoing ASB issues, such as graffiti and smoking traces at 4 Bramah Road, always reporting her findings promptly.
Maria’s reliability and care make a real difference to the community and to the team.
Jason Tomlin (Winner – Rising Star Award)
Jason joined us in March 2025 as a Grounds Maintenance Operative, and from day one he has been at the heart of the team. His enthusiasm, positive attitude, and commitment to his role have had a noticeable impact on the quality of our service. Jason consistently goes above and beyond. Examples of his contribution include:
Assisting vulnerable residents by removing fallen tree branches.
Carrying out garden clearances for residents who were unable to manage them.
Helping a resident remove a fridge freezer from their property when illness made it impossible for them to do so alone.
Polite, punctual, and always willing to help, Jason sets an example for others and is truly deserving of the Rising Star Award. Well done to Maria and Jason!
