You Said: We Did

As I’m sure you can imagine, much of what we do here is part of weekly, monthly or yearly cycles: do tenancy checks, collect rent, issue service charges, cut the grass, pick up the mountain of leaves. That said, there is a stream of requests from residents that fall outside of this, and in the majority of cases we’re able to help and very happy to do so. Here’s a recent selection:

·       ‘The gate by Bramah is always left open, anyone can get in behind our block.’

We had a closer installed on this gate, so it now closes behind itself. A new lock was also installed.

·       ‘The hall in the community centre can be too hot.’

A new air conditioning unit has been bought and is being used to great effect.

·       ‘There are not enough plants in and around Eythorne Park.’

We have increased the number of flowers and plants by the play area in Eythorne Park and re-seeded the wild meadow on the green areas around the bollards and the stumps on Cowley Road.

During a recent flood on Akerman Road, in which a mains water pipe burst, causing extensive damage. Daniel and Daniela were onsite until 9pm, booking hotels for residents and arranging for one vulnerable person to be admitted to hospital.

All in a day’s work.
